Frequently asked questions
Straight answers — same rules as our calculators: no surprises, no fine print.
How much does DMS Command cost?
Four tiers, priced per rooftop: Foundation at $399/month (about $13/day) runs your operations. Growth at $799/month (about $26/day) adds intelligence — Talk to Your DMS (ask and understand) plus BHPH note servicing. Performance at $1,499/month (about $49/day) adds Actionable Talk — certified actions carried out under existing permissions. Multi-rooftop dealer groups use the Custom tier, which is quoted. Every plan includes unlimited users, and annual billing is 11× monthly — one month free.
Do you charge per user or per seat?
No. One rooftop price covers your entire team — sales, service, parts, accounting, reception, everyone. Adding an employee never adds a software charge.
What software does DMS Command replace?
Every plan brings your core dealership operations onto one platform — CRM, inventory, sales, F&I, service, parts, website and e-signature. Growth adds Talk to Your DMS, BHPH Note Servicing, Dealer Communications and expanded automation. Performance adds Actionable Talk, advanced accounting, BI and executive reporting.
Are there any add-ons or hidden fees?
No hidden fees. BHPH Note Servicing is included with Growth, Performance and Custom. Voice Receptionist is an optional +$299/month add-on where selected. There are no per-user charges. If an unusually complex data migration requires a one-time fee, it is quoted in writing before any work begins.
What is “Talk to Your DMS”?
It's not a chatbot — it's your dealership intelligence. Talk to Your DMS is included starting with Growth. Growth lets authorized employees ask questions in plain English (“Show me every truck over 90 days old”) and receive dealership intelligence from the data they are permitted to access. Performance adds Actionable Talk, allowing certified actions to be carried out under the employee's existing permissions and confirmation requirements. A bigger plan never expands an employee's record access.
Can we keep QuickBooks?
Yes. On Foundation and Growth you keep your accounting software and run it alongside DMS Command. Performance and up includes accounting with funded-deal posting and QuickBooks synchronization — at that point most dealerships consolidate, but the choice stays yours.
What kinds of dealerships is DMS Command built for?
Commercial truck, trailer and heavy equipment dealerships — from a single independent rooftop to multi-location dealer groups on the Custom tier.
How do I know if it actually saves us money?
Run your own numbers — don't take ours. The comparison calculator adds up what your current setup really costs, line by line from your actual bills, and the time-value calculator estimates what repetitive work costs your team. Both follow The Honest Math Standard™: unknowns earn no credit, and every formula is published.
What about getting our data moved over?
Standard data migration assistance is included in every plan, and our AI-assisted tools do most of the heavy lifting. Unusually large or complex migrations — decades of history, heavily customized legacy systems, multiple source systems — may carry a one-time migration fee. When one applies, it is quoted up front, in writing, before any work begins. Daily backups, secure cloud hosting, automatic updates and unlimited support are always included.
